Four of the six counties of NE Iowa are reporting lower active COVID-19 cases compared to last Wednesday. Active cases are down in Allamakee, Chickasaw, Clayton, and Winnesheik Counties, but up in Fayette and Howard counties.
Winneshiek County currently reports 230 active cases of COVID-19 — down from 244 one week ago. Allamakee County reports 185 active cases (down from 225), Clayton County reports 168 active cases (down from 169), Chickasaw County reports 106 active cases (down from 108). Fayette County reports 314 active cases (up from 290), and Howard County reports 157 active cases (up from 152).
Since March 2020, 145 residents of NE Iowa have died from COVID-19, including 48 in Clayton County, 26 in Allamakee County, 22 in Fayette County, 19 in both Winneshiek and Howard counties, and 11 in Chickasaw County.
