Some encouraging signs from COVID-19 numbers in NE Iowa

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Winneshiek County decreased as of Tuesday morning. A total of 226 people are currently recovering from the coronavirus. That's down from 256 cases as of Monday.
As a whole, NE Iowa has 1,151 active cases of COVID-19. Fayette County currently leads northeast Iowa with 309 active COVID-19 cases--down from 316 active cases as of Monday morning. Allamakee County reports 187 active cases, down from 206 active cases on Monday. Clayton County reports a drop of ten cases to 166 active cases, Howard County reports a drop of six cases to 158 active cases, and Chickasaw County reports a drop of 11 cases to 116 active cases.
7,618 NE Iowans have now contracted COVID-19. Fayette County, Clayton County, Winneshiek County, Allamakee County and Chickasaw County all have had between 1,000 to 1,500 COVID cases, while Howard County has had almost 800 cases.
