Public hearing will be held Monday night at 7:00 on request to rezone land along Old Stage Road

The area in blue is the 16 acres for which the owners are requesting a C-4 commercial zoning

Members of the Decorah Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing at City Hall at 7:00 p.m. Monday on an application to rezone 16 acres of land off Old Stage Road from F-1 floodplain to C-4 Commercial.

The property involved is the same property which Menards was interested in building a new store in, but City of Decorah officials say there is no current plan to develop a new store on the land.

Planning & Zoning Commission members have held a work session on the rezoning request. Monday night's meeting will be a chance for the public to weigh in on the proposal.

The agenda for Monday night's meeting includes the possibility of a vote on the application by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
