The April 4th Winneshiek Pheasants Forever Banquet has been postponed.  The Pheasants Forever group says, "In an attempt to be civically responsible, we are making decisions with an eye on the impact on community risk and public health, and are deferring to the guidelines of the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention." The banquet will be rescheduled as soon as feasible.

If you have questions, contact Todd Duncan (563-419-5006); DJ Friest (563-419-0462); Brian Fankhauser (515-249-1338); Mike Halverson (563-419-5251); or Gavin Nimrod (563-379-8915).

Meanwhile, Aase Haugen Senior Services is postponing its annual meeting, previously scheduled for March 17th.  Said Aase Haugen Administrator Orson Bauder, "We are taking this pandemic very seriously and delaying this event is the right thing to do at this time."  Aase Haugen will announce a revised date for the annual meeting as soon as practicable.

Earlier announced postponements included:

--The Western Home String Band contra dance Saturday night at the Lingonberry
--The Winneshiek County Democratic Party's St. Patrick's Day event Sunday afternoon at The Lingonberry
--"A Journey through Parkinson's Disease" programs on March 25th, April 8th and April 15th.
