Volunteers from Decorah Lutheran Church, Decorah Rotary Club and other organization have packaged meals to be sent to Africa, as well as used locally.

Packaged meals are heading to the food insecure in Northeast Iowa and in Africa, thanks to a project involving Decorah Lutheran Church, the Decorah Rotary Club and The Outreach Program.

Over 50 volunteers gathered at Decorah Lutheran Church recently to package over 6,000 rice and bean meals to be shipped to Tanzania.  Another 10,800 meals were put in "CareBoxes" that will be distributed locally to food pantries and the school backpack program.
