Spring classes are beginning at ArtHaus in Decorah.

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, a silkscreen workshop will be held in the evenings with Ben Moore.  The 4-hour class will work on logo design printing for those who want a more hand-drawn design on their business merchandise.  On Friday, ArtHaus Board Members Tara Quass and Toby Cain will be leading a class on Derby Hat Making in the studio.

Youth classes are also beginning this week.  On Mondays, Jane Busch will be offering the popular "Light it Up" class for 6- to 9-year-olds.  Kids will build quiz boards, build lights into clothing, and paint a glow in the dark image.   On Thursdays, "Let's Go Fly a Kite" is aimed for 4- to 6-year-olds.  The two hour class for six consecutive weeks will focus on different types of kite design, wind socks, wind powered vehicles, and mobiles.

Later in April, Decorah author, educator, life and wellness coach Mary Jorgensen will lead a workshop at ArtHaus from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 pm.  Sunday, April 28th, called "Living by Design: 5 Steps to the Artful Life."  Participants will interact with Jorgensen's 5 key essentials: intention, barriers, strengths, creativity, and inspired action, in an effort to increase inner awareness, leading to living the life we choose.
