Decorah Police release details of their Labor Day weekend enforcement program

The Decorah Police Department says the use of seatbelts has improved following the department's latest Special Traffic Enforcement Program from August 17th through September 3rd.
A survey taken before the enforcement program showed 88 percent of motorists using seatbelts, and 96 percent of motorists using seatbelts after the program.
Police say they made one arrest for drunk driving and issued three tickets for seat belt violations, one ticket for a stop sign violation, 21 tikcets for speeding, four tickets for driving while suspended, one ticket for a registration violation and two tickets for failure to have proof of insurance.
