Decorah Boy Scouts are pioneering a patriotic service project

Posted: Mon, May 7, 2018 9:56 AM

Boy Scout Troop 66 of Decorah is working on a patriotic service project, which would include putting an American flag in front of homes in the city of Decorah on Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Veteran's Day. The cost is $30 per year, with a $15 one-time initial set up fee

Scouts will put up the flag early morning and retrieve in the evening of the holidays. The flag and pole is the property of the scouts.

Flyers about the project are available at Decorah Bank and Trust, Sims TV, Fareway's meat counter, Bank of the West and Decorah City Hall (can also print off form on Decorah Facebook).
