The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is releasing the names of a man who was taken into custody and a woman who was found dead inside a trailer home in Cresco on Thursday.

34-year-old Brian Fullhart is facing charges of first-degree murder and going armed with intent.  Officers had responded to a 9-1-1 call early Thursday morning which reported a shooting at 700 South Elm Street #32 in Cresco.  Upon arrival, officers were confronted by 34-year-old Brian Fullhart of Decorah.  The DCI news release says Fullhart was uncooperative with officers and threatened to shoot officers.  Fullhart was eventually taken into custody at 6:45 a.m. Thursday.  The DCI says officers then entered the residence and located the body of a woman who was later identified as Fullhart's wife, 34-year-old Zoanne Fullhart of Decorah.

Brian Fullhart has been arrested and charged with Murder in the First Degree and Going Armed with Intent.  Fullhart is currently in custody at the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department in Decorah.
