The Winneshiek County Emergency Management Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday on its proposed 2018-2019 budget.  The meeting will be held at Decorah City Hall.

This year's budget authorized $206,000 in spending for emergency government operations and capital equipment.  Next year's proposed budget calls for a total of $233,000 in spending.  The budget is supported by a Winneshiek County contribution of $102,000 and $86,000 in other revenues.  The $45,000 shortfall will be made up by using funds from the agency's existing fund balance.

Wednesday night's budget hearing is open to the public.
