Winneshiek Medical Center has announced an Operating Loss of $60,051 for May.

The results came even though Total Patient Revenues in May were $9.2 million--7.6 percent higher than in April.  But May's Total Operating Expenses were $5.2 million, which were unfavorable to budget for the month.

Compared to last year at this time, operating expenses at WMC have increased 7.6 percent, while net revenues have increased 3.7 percent.
Despite the poor performance in May, Winneshiek Medical Center still has a year-to-date Net Gain of nearly $2 million.  The year-to-date  operating margin is 1.8 percent.
