The Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum has opened its annual "National Exhibition of Folk Art in the Norwegian Tradition" exhibi.
Comprised of original woodwork, handmade knives, and weavings of 110 contemporary artists from 20 states, this exhibition will be judged by both art professionals as well as visitors who will vote for People's Choice Awards.
"This year's exhibition is a real celebration, and artists have sent in some fantastic pieces that are sure to inspire," Laurann Gilbertson, the Vesterheim's Chief Curator, said.
Some of the selections will be available for purchase by silent auction. The silent auction will take place on July 28th at 9:00 a.m. and end on July 30th at 4:00 p.m
There will be free admission all day on July 7th.
